I can't remember what year it was that I grew up & matured but I know it was in the last few years that I stopped caring so much about gifts & more about all the time we got to spend with family during the holidays. This year we are spending our Christmas Eve at my moms house & boy is it full in here. Matt & I get to stay in our old room which brings back memories of our time living here. Everyone else is spread out in different rooms & the living room. Past years we have spent all Christmas Eve making & cooking tamales. It is so time consuming that those helping didn't spend too much time playing games or just sitting around. So this year we decided we'd prepare everything the night before & put them on the stove Christmas Eve so that we could all dedicate the day to spending it together & not in the kitchen. I like that Matt's Christmas Traditions & my traditions work well together. My family has always celebrated on Christmas Eve & opened presents at midnight, Matt's family celebrates Christmas morning & opens gifts then. I am really looking forward to having our own Christmas in our own place next year to make our own traditions together. I am so thankful for my family & I love them so much. I hope that you are happy where ever you are this Christmas holiday & that you enjoy the presence of the people you are with. A very Merry Christmas from The Morins.
