Yesterdays breakfast smoothie. |
2 Handfuls of Spinach
1 Medium Naval Orange
1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds
1 Cup of Carrot Juice
1 Small Banana
Smoothie #2
2 Handfuls of Spinach
1 Medium Naval Orange
2 oz of Fresh Pineapple Chunks (I weigh it)
1 Cup of Carrot Juice
1 Small Banana
1/2 Handful of Parsley
There are many other ingredients you can incorporate into your smoothie.
Flax seeds, Swiss Chard, Celery, Whole Carrots, Kiwi, Mint Leaves, Strawberries, Greek Yogurt, Blue Berries, Mango, Oats, Almonds, & Cucumber. That's just a few... & If you are afraid of a vegetable taste, don't worry, the fruit (especially banana) does a great job at masking the taste so you would have no idea you were eating handfuls of spinach! Do you like smoothies? Do you have a recipe? Feel free to share!!

Ive starting having smoothies again for breakfast, its just the best way to start my day! i will have to try these!
ReplyDeleteThat's great Leesh! Yeah they are totally a good way to power your way into the day! What sort of things do you put in your smoothies? :)
DeleteIf you ever want to borrow my Vitamix, let me know!! It's amazzzzing. And it can blend all those seeds that normally your body can't digest, so that you can get even more nurtients! Mmmm. :)
ReplyDeleteOH AWESOME! what seeds you talking bout?! I only use chia seeds & those are actually better whole, since when they get wet they get this jelly stuff around it that makes me feel full longer & keeps me hydrated longer since they hold lots of water. its crazy! Maybe you meant flax seed which I don't really use but I might just have to take you up on that Vitamix! ;)
DeleteI agree that a smoothie makes for a great start to the day and helps you to feel energized. However, I can't seem to get into the green smoothies. Berry banana is my go to smoothie!
